Scheduling of Vacations. A. The supervisor shall provide a sign-up period for vacation between December 1 and December 31. An annual calendar, supplied by the work unit, shall be provided wherein, by seniority as defined in the seniority article, the employee shall select one (1) block of time for the calendar year. A block of time shall be one (1) workweek or consecutive workweeks. After the vacation scheduling period has ended, future vacation requests will be on a first-come, first-served basis, including changes to previously scheduled vacation requests. Seniority selection of the same block of time shall not be permitted for the next period unless that block remains available after the conclusion of the sign up period.
