Scheduling of Vacation Time. The Superintendent may take vacation days during the course of the year, upon reasonable notice to the Board President. The Superintendent will report and document all vacation usage through the Personnel Office and the district’s personnel / absence software.

Scheduling of Vacation Time. All vacation leave must be pre-approved by the Department Head, or designee. Employees requesting to take vacation time off are generally expected to submit their request at least five (5) working days in advance of taking such leave unless extenuating circumstances exist which prevents such advance notice. This five-day advance notice requirement does not prohibit the Department Head, or designee, from accommodating, at their discretion, requests for vacation time off with less notice. Once a vacation leave request is received by the Department Head, or designee, a response to approve or deny the request shall be provided to the requesting employee no later than ten (10) working days after receipt, unless extenuating circumstances exist which prevents such timely response, in which case, the employee shall be provided an approximate date when such response can be expected.‌
