SANITATION AND SAFETY. 34.01 (a) Safety: The Employer is responsible to make all reasonable provision for the safety and health of its Employees during working hours. The Union agrees that it will co-operate in the enforcement of safety rules and other Employer regulations. In accordance with the Regulations made pursuant to the provisions of the Workers' Compensation Act (B.C.) there shall be a Union- Employer Safety Committee set up in each shop. This committee shall be responsible for the observance of safety conditions within the shop.

In the event Manager fails to receive a Passing Grade for any Food Service Facility on any Sanitation Review as provided in Section 4.3.2, then Manager shall notify the Authority within 24 hours and shall promptly prepare and submit to the Authority an action plan to address and correct the problems noted in the Sanitation Review. Manager shall use its best efforts to cause an additional Sanitation Review of any non-passing Food Service Facility (a “Re-Inspection”) to be performed within ten (10) days (or as soon as possible thereafter) at Manager’s sole cost (which cost shall not be a Direct Operating Cost).
