Sanctioned Committees. [a] The District and the Association recognize the importance of working together to solve problems and address issues covered by the negotiated agreement through the course of the year. To that end, sanctioned committees may be established through the liaison council or the negotiation process. Current committees include but are not limited to: Insurance Committee; Joint Staff School Committee (JSSC); School Technology Specialist Joint Staff Study Committee (STS JSSC); Calendaring Committee. [b] The Joint Staff School Committee (JSSC) shall be established in each school from the licensed and classified staff of that school to provide for a respectful, collaborative, orderly, and professional means of improving the educational programs, professional and public relations, and the conditions within the school, including oversight of other school committees. The JSSC training presentation and JSSC Handbook shall be maintained and modified when necessary through the District Liaison Council.

  • Sub-Committees 15.1 The Joint Committee shall establish the membership and terms of reference for any sub-committees or sub-groups which it establishes and may dissolve such sub-committees or sub-groups. Sub-committees to which the Joint Committee delegates functions are bound by the provisions of this Agreement regulating the taking of decisions by the Joint Committee. The Joint Committee may create additional sub-committees from time to time as it sees fit.

  • STRIKES AND SANCTIONS 19.1 The Association and the Board subscribe to the principle that differences shall be resolved by peaceful and appropriate means without interruption of the school program. The Association, therefore, agrees that it will not sponsor nor support any strike, sanction, work stoppage, or other concerted refusal to perform work by the teachers covered by this Agreement, nor any instigation thereof, during the life of this Agreement, nor shall the Board engage in any form of lockout against teachers.

  • Joint Labor/Management Committees Purpose and Membership. Joint Labor/Management Committees are established to provide a forum for communications and problem-solving between the two parties and to deal with matters of a general personnel Union/Employer concern, as well as professional practices within the hospital related to patient care and professional issues. The Committees will work toward the improvement of patient care and recommend ways and means to improve patient care; and will address problems and concerns related to staffing and workloads. The Committees’ function will be limited to an advisory capacity and shall not include any decision making or collective bargaining authority. Committee memberships:

  • Disciplinary Sanctions The Company shall not be required to engage in the three-step dispute resolution process prior to imposing disciplinary sanctions for violation of the Agreement.

  • Labour Management Committee (a) Where the parties mutually agree that there are matters of mutual concern and interest that would be beneficial if discussed at a Labour-Management Committee Meeting during the term of this Agreement, the following shall apply.

  • Covered Entity “Covered Entity” shall have the same meaning as the term “covered entity” at 45 C.F.R. 160.103, and shall refer to the State.
