Sale of Alcohol. The premises are unlicensed. The Hirer is responsible for completing any Temporary Event License Notification if charging for alcohol. A copy of the TEN issued which must be provided to the Booking Clerk 14 days prior to the event date. Pre event visits: • The Hirer should use the website for information on the premises and measurements where possible. • The Hirer may have access to the hall 1 (max of 2 times) prior to event for viewings, by appointment with the booking clerk. Please invite all suppliers/ stakeholders to those viewings. • The Hirer is advised to allow time for event set-up and catering. This is chargeable time. Set Up and Use: • A noise limiter is installed at the premises which is set at 90dB, measured at the internal main hall doorway. If levels exceed this for any extended period the electricity will automatically be cut off. Whilst we believe this to be a reasonable level for most uses, you must satisfy yourself this is suitable for your use. • The Kitchen facilities and equipment are not suitable for professional catering and shall only be used as a preparation/serving area. Hirer must bring their own dishcloths and tea towels. • The Hirer shall not to alter, move or interfere with any lighting, heating, power, cabling or other electrical fittings or appliances at the Venue, or install or use additional heating, power, cabling or other electronic fittings or appliances without the prior written consent of the Booking Clerk. • The Hirer shall not allow candles or smoke generators. Smoke and Fire sensors are sensitive and will terminate the hiring. Vaping is also not allowed on the premises. • The Hirer shall not fix any bolts, nails, tacks, screws, adhesives (including blu tak or white tak) , tape or other such fixing devices to the walls or fabric of the premises as these will damage the paintwork. Dado picture hooks can be used on the dado rail for light décor. • The Main Hall and Xxxxxxx room keys will be left in key safes at the side of the front door. Please obtain the current safe code from the Booking clerk prior to the event. • The Hall has clear instruction guides for all facilities and the Emergency contact should be used only in the case of an EMERGENCY. • All sanitary and nappy products must be disposed of in the bags provided in bins and not flushed down the toilet. Sale of Alcohol. In order to sell alcohol at the EPCC a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) will need to be given to the licensing authority. The TEN must be given to the licensing authority and chief fire officer no later than ten working days before the day on which the event begins. The person giving notice of a TEN must be aged 18 or over. A copy of the TEN must be on the Premises during the event. The police and local authority have rights of entry to the Premises to assess the likely effect of the TEN on crime prevention.
Sale of Alcohol. 7.1 The sale of alcohol is prohibited. During the period of COVID-19 the sale of alcohol will not be permitted to ensure social distancing and other safety measures can be observed at all times.

The application is for a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) and can be obtained on-line from Ryedale District Council’s website. The cost is currently £21 per notice. However as the Village Hall can only apply for a limited number of licenses each year this must be done with the agreement of the Bookings Clerk Permitted Number The Hirer agrees not to exceed the maximum permitted number of people is 65 sitting or 80 standing Age The Hirer confirms that he or she is not a person under 18 years of age and hereby accepts responsibility for being in charge of and present on the Premises at all times when the public are present and for ensuring that all terms and conditions of this Agreement are complied with.

Sale of Alcohol. Absolutely no sale of intoxicating beverages permitted, unless prior arrangements have been made, the applicant is a registered 501C3 organization, proper permits obtained and fees paid including any insurance requirements beyond what is required within this agreement.
Sale of Alcohol. Ellisfield Memorial Hall is not licensed for the sale of alcohol, Hirers wishing to sell alcohol will need to apply to Basingstoke & Xxxxx Borough Council for a Temporary Licence, a copy of which must be provided to Bookings Secretary and the person applying for the licence must supervise the event with no alcohol sold to under 18s. EVENT FINISH TIME All events must finish by 11:30pm and the Hall must be clear by 12:00 midnight. Later times to be agreed by special arrangement. By signing this agreement the Hirer agrees to abide by this rule. Before leaving the hall please ensure table tops are wiped clean before being stacked in the cupboard and floors are swept. Please ensure all lighting, heating and electrical equipment is switched off before leaving and securing the building. Later finish time only by arrangement. REFUSE Ellisfield Memorial Hall has no agreement with contractors to remove waste/refuse – whether commercial or trade. Therefore it is important that all hirers take their waste home with them (and recycle bottle and cans). Please make sure that you bring adequate dustbin liners with you when you hire the hall.
