Salary Underpayments a. In the event the Agency determines an employee has not received wages/benefits to which he/she is lawfully entitled pursuant to Fair Labor Standards Act or state law, the Agency shall pay the employee within three (3) working days the amount of money the employee is owed if such underpayment is equal to or more than five percent (5%) of the employee’s base pay rate.

Salary Underpayments. (i) The Employer is committed to paying the Employee on the payday. Where an Employee does not receive their wages on the pay day or identifies there is an underpayment of $50 gross or more every effort will be made to process any necessary adjustments within one business day of the Employee notifying their supervisor/pay office of the underpayment and where necessary, being validated by the Employee's supervisor. Where the correction is less than $50 gross, or unless undue hardship exists any necessary adjustment will be made on the following payday.

  • Salary Upon Promotion ‌ Except as otherwise provided herein, any full or part-time employee who is promoted to a position in a class allocated to a higher salary scale than the class from which the employee was promoted shall receive the salary step rate of the appropriate scale which would constitute an increase of salary most closely equivalent to, but not less than, five (5) percent of the employee’s salary step rate before promotion, but not less than the minimum salary scale of the new class nor greater than the maximum salary of the new class. If a promotion occurs on the same day a merit increase is due and approved, the merit increase shall be computed first and subsequently the increase due to promotion. An employee who is promoted shall be considered for a merit increase when the employee’s total hours in paid status, exclusive of overtime subsequent to promotion, equals 1,040 hours. The effective date of the merit increase shall be in accordance with Section 7.21.

In the settlement of the Kindergarten Teachers, Head Teachers and Senior Teachers' Collective Agreement 2000-2002 the parties committed themselves to the implementation of pay parity for kindergarten teachers. Senior teacher K3 and K4 salaries were benchmarked to the base salary (excluding the roll-based supplementary component) of a primary U2 and U3 principal respectively.
