Salary Improvement. Each employee who is eligible for an increment, who has remaining incremental movement available, and who continues to serve as an employee on July 1 of each year of the contract, will be granted one (1) increment effective that date. The College shall comply with all requirements set by the state in the final budget allocation for the school year. See Appendix A for the current salary schedule.

Salary Improvement. When determining salary adjustment, the following facts are among those to be considered:
Salary Improvement. It is the intention of Renton Technical College to provide employees with salary improvement from such monies as are authorized by the state legislature and allocated and approved by the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges. It must be clearly understood that the College must meet all requirements set by the state in the budget allocation for each school year. When the amount is known, the College will revise the appropriate salary schedule with the improvement authorized by the legislature.
Salary Improvement. The parties recognize that faculty salaries are significantly lower than those paid to colleagues with comparable qualifications and experience in surrounding states. The parties agree that a salary improvement program is necessary to make faculty unit member salaries commensurate with those of their colleagues in surrounding states and to make the South Dakota higher education system competitive with those states with respect to the hiring and retention of faculty. To that end, the parties agree that discussion pursuant to § 23.1 of this agreement will include seeking agreement on the internal and external funding necessary to bring faculty salaries comparable with those of surrounding states and discussion of a timetable by which those levels might feasibly be achieved.

Salary Improvement. If an agreement is reached on this article, the parties agree to not open any economic articles for the 2023-2024 reopener. All unit members shall receive an on-schedule salary increase of two percent (2%) for the 2022-2023 school year, effective and retroactive to July 1, 2022. All active unit members, as of the date of ratification, shall receive a one-time OFF- SCHEDULE 4% lump sum payment based on the new 22-23 annual base salary schedule.
