Prepares complex reports & specifications. Gains familiarity with commercial/business and administrative procedures. Gives presentations to customers and contributes to technical journals when appropriate. Recommendations, Few technical decisions called for and these will be of routine nature with ample precedent or clearly defined procedures as guidance. Recommendations limited to problem solving rather than end result. Decisions made are normally within established guidelines. Starts to contribute to the planning of engineering projects. Decisions Supervision Received Under close supervision, work is reviewed for accuracy, adequacy and conformance with prescribed procedures. Prepares own work plans and executes them with minimal supervision. Oral and occasionally written instructions as to methods and procedures to be followed, are given. Salary Grade. A salary grade is a range of base salary for jobs that are in that grade. Multiple jobs can be in a single salary grade because those jobs are substantially similar, as determined by external and internal value. Is able to share his/her knowledge and skills, support and consider the methods he/she uses and, in addition, possesses a sense of responsibility for the work environment and the skills to guide others. If special knowledge or education exceeding the criteria provided for in salary grades 1-2 is required parties to an employment contract shall negotiate the salary for the job.
