Salary Enhancement/Clock Hours. 3 It is mutually agreed that the Clock Hour Program is put into place to benefit both the 4 Maintenance/Operations staff members and the school district. Clock hours may be earned after 5 September 1, 2004, or from the employee’s seniority date within this bargaining unit, whichever is the 6 later date. Clock hours may be awarded for workshops and classes voluntarily taken by the employee 7 outside of their paid work time, as long as the workshop/class is directly applicable to the employee’s 8 present position in the school district and is pre-approved by the supervisor. 10 An employee wishing to earn clock hours must request pre-approval from their building 11 principal/program supervisor on the district-approved clock hour application form. The employee 12 should complete the top of the form, attach a copy of the course offering/flier, and submit it to the 13 supervisor a minimum of ten (10) days prior to taking the class/workshop for review, processing, and 14 final approval. The supervisor will sign the form, and it will be returned to the applicant in a timely 15 manner. 17 The workshop/class must meet the guideline that it is appropriate and applicable to the employee’s 18 current position. It may be offered by the Kennewick School District, ESD 123, Staff Development 19 Committee, or credited college. If an application is in question, it will be reviewed by the Staff 20 Development Committee and Classified Human Resources Manager. If the clock hour request is not 21 approved, an explanation will be given. 23 Only time spent in the workshop/class session is allowable for credit. Travel time, independent study 24 time, meal and break times, etc., are not acceptable. Workshops/classes must be taken outside of the 25 employee’s working hours for clock hour’s credit. 26 27 Clock hours may only be earned for time attended in class/workshops beyond paid working hours. If 28 release time is granted to attend the workshop, clock hours may not be earned. 29 30 After the class/workshop is completed, the district-approved form must be submitted to the Classified 31 Human Resources Office with a certificate of attendance, registration receipt, or transcript attached to 32 the request. The Human Resources Office will return a copy of the form to the employee after it has 33 been received and approved.   • Salary Scales 1. In the settlement of the Kindergarten Teachers, Head Teachers and Senior Teachers' Collective Agreement 2000-2002 the parties committed themselves to the implementation of pay parity for kindergarten teachers. Senior teacher K3 and K4 salaries were benchmarked to the base salary (excluding the roll-based supplementary component) of a primary U2 and U3 principal respectively.

  • Flexible Work Schedule A flexible work schedule is any schedule that is not a regular, alternate, 9/80, or 4/10 work schedule and where the employee is not scheduled to work more than 40 hours in the "workweek" as defined in Subsections F. and H., below.

  • Salary Step Advancement No period of unpaid leave shall be counted toward time served for purposes of salary step advancement. Completion of at least 75% of the assigned work year for the employee in a paid status is a prerequisite to salary advancement.

  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Beginning January 1, 1993, an employee may designate an amount per year to be placed into the employee’s Flexible Spending Account (as defined in Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code as amended from time to time).
