Safety Shoes Allowance. The Employer will provide an allowance sufficient to purchase safety shoes to those employees required to wear safety shoes. Employees who, for reasons of personal preference, choose a model of safety shoe that costs more than the Employer-provided allowance must pay any additional cost associated with their choice of shoe.

Safety Shoes Allowance. The Employer will provide a safety shoe allowance of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for the initial purchase and one hundred dollars ($100.00) every two years (4,160 straight-time hours) thereafter for the replacement of safety shoes for the Maintenance Mechanic. It is understood that this allowance is for the purchase and necessary upkeep of safety shoes acceptable and required by the Employer. The initial payment shall be made to the employee with his/her first paycheck for the purchase of safety shoes acceptable and required by the Employer. Thereafter, payments shall be made the first pay period following completion of every 4,160 straight-time hours. The initial payment for the current Maintenance Mechanic will be paid in January 2005. Any employee receiving the safety shoe allowance who is terminated from employment by virtue of discharge, resignation, or voluntary quit prior to the expiration of a one-year period from the date the allowance was paid, shall repay the allowance on the basis of one- twelfth (1/12) of the amount received for each month they are short of meeting the one-year requirement. Said employees are required to wear safety shoes at all times while on the Employer’s premises. This allowance will be considered as taxable income.
Safety Shoes Allowance. The Company agrees to pay up to seventy ($70.00) dollars year towards the purchase of safety footwear or boots for employees. Prior to any such payment being made, the employee must produce the safety shoes and the corresponding receipt to his or her immediate supervisor. Safety Shoes Allowance. Employees required by the Hospital to wear green patch safety shoes shall be reimbursed a maximum of ninety-two dollars ($92.00) per calendar year for the costs incurred in purchasing such footwear. Employees required by the Hospital to wear any other safety footwear shall be reimbursed a maximum of seventy-four dollars and seventy-five cents ($74.75) per calendar year for the costs associated in purchasing such footwear. No employee shall be reimbursed for the purchase of more than one (1) pair of shoes per calendar year, except where, in exceptional circumstances, the Hospital determines that the employee requires that their shoes be replaced for safety reasons.

The amount shall increase to $75, effective January 1, 2007. Employees will receive said amount as long as the shoes are approved by the employer and as long as the shoes are worn on the job. Payment will be made on or about July 1 upon presentation of proof of purchase.

  • Footwear Allowance The Company will reimburse full-time employees up to fifty ($50.00) dollars per year toward the cost of footwear upon presentation of a receipt. Eligible employees will receive reimbursement for footwear upon completion of six (6) months' service. Once employees have received the footwear allowance, they must wear such footwear during work hours.
