Common use of Safety Procedures Clause in Contracts

Safety Procedures. Safety is a mutual concern of the Employer and employee. The Employer shall be alert to unsafe practices, equipment, or conditions and shall endeavor to provide a safe place of employment. The employee, in the course of performing duties associated with the mission of the Employer, shall be alert to unsafe practices, equipment, or conditions and shall endeavor to report any unsafe practices, equipment, or conditions to his/her immediate supervisor. Whenever the physical facilities of the building are deemed unoccupiable for students, the building shall be deemed unoccupiable for employees. However, employees shall fulfill those activities deemed necessary by the Employer to assure the continuing provision of instruction. All Employees will be made aware of the building safety procedures and participate in required drills.
