SAFETY AND TRAFFIC CONTROL. The Contractor shall take all necessary precautions for the safety of their employees and the public and shall comply with all applicable provisions of federal, state, and local regulations, ordinances, and codes. The Contractor shall provide, erect, and properly maintain at all times the necessary warning devices, signs, and traffic control for the protection of workers and the public. All road or lane closures, warning signs, and traffic control devices must meet the current Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), Iowa DOT traffic control regulations, and City of Oskaloosa Municipal Code requirements. Materials and equipment may not be stored or staged within the City right-of-way unless otherwise approved by the City Engineer.

SAFETY AND TRAFFIC CONTROL. Contractor shall take all reasonable precautions to protect the safety of pedestrians, school children, motorists, and others who may use or come near to the Project site, including but not limited to compliance with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
SAFETY AND TRAFFIC CONTROL. The Contractor alone shall be responsible for the safety and security at construction sites and when working in or adjacent to public highways. Contractor is solely responsible for traffic control, which practices shall comply with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, latest edition. The contractor is responsible for contacting Dig Safe prior to any excavation. No excavation is authorized until after Dig Safe has marked all existing utilities. Prior to construction, the contractor shall notify Municipality of adjacent utilities when prosecution of work may affect them.

  • OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH The parties desire to deal with safety and health complaints, and to attempt to correct any health or safety violations, internally. Accordingly, neither the Association nor an employee may file a complaint alleging a health or safety violation with the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to R.C. §4167.10 until the following process has been completely exhausted:

  • SAFETY AND HEALTH 20.1 The Employer, employee and Union have a significant responsibility for workplace safety and health.

  • SAFETY AND ACCIDENT PREVENTION In performing work under this Contract on State premises, Contractor shall conform to any specific safety requirements contained in the Contract or as required by law or regulation. Contractor shall take any additional precautions as the State may reasonably require for safety and accident prevention purposes. Any violation of such rules and requirements, unless promptly corrected, shall be grounds for termination of this Contract in accordance with the default provisions hereof.

  • Federal Water Pollution Control Act 1. The contractor agrees to comply with all applicable standards, orders, or regulations issued pursuant to the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, as amended, 33 U.S.C. 1251 et seq.

  • WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY The parties to this Agreement are committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace and work practices. The parties recognise that illness or injury at the workplace is costly to the employer and the employees and also disruptive to the respective parties. To facilitate healthy and safe work practices, the parties to the Agreement are committed to discussing health and safety issues as they apply to the operations of the employer as part of the consultative measures under this Agreement. The employer and employees under this agreement may refer to their respective industrial representatives for appropriate advice or expertise in enhancing performance with due regard to health and safety initiatives. The parties also recognise the importance of conducting regular audits of the employer's operations, policies and procedures including the employees' skills, knowledge, qualifications and application of healthy and safe work practices.
