SAFEGUARDING AND CHILD PROTECTION. 19.1 You will take responsibility for safeguarding the welfare of children subject to the universal duty applicable to all who work in a child centred environment. Failure to declare a conviction, caution or bind-over may disqualify You from appointment, or result in summary dismissal without notice if the discrepancy subsequently comes to light. 20.1 Without prejudice to the Academy Trust Company’s Whistle−Blowing Policy, where applicable, You may not during, or following termination of, Your employment disclose to anyone other than in the proper course of your employment, or if required to do so by law, any information of a confidential nature relating to the Academy Trust Company and/or the Academy. Breach of this clause 20.1 during Your employment may be treated as gross misconduct warranting summary dismissal.
20.2 The exception to clause 20.1 is where information is already in the public domain, otherwise than as a result of You breaching clause 20.1.

19.3 Disclosure of a criminal conviction will not necessarily debar You from employment with the Governing Body depending on the nature of the offence, how long ago it was and what age You were when it was committed and any other factors that may be relevant to this appointment. Failure to declare a conviction, caution or bind-over may disqualify You from appointment, or result in summary dismissal without notice if the discrepancy subsequently comes to light.
SAFEGUARDING AND CHILD PROTECTION a. Hirers providing services to children must have policies and procedures in place to ensure children’s safety and any Risk Assessments and DBS certificates required by the Hirer must be supplied to the School upon request.
b. At an event where the number of children is likely to exceed 100, the Hirer must ensure that a sufficient number of adults are stationed to prevent more children being admitted, to control the movement of the children and to take all reasonable precautions for the safety of the children as required by the Children’s and Young Person’s ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇.

The Provider must ensure all staff have an awareness of the possibility of abuse, the possible signs and symptoms of abuse to both adults and children, and know their responsibilities to respond to and report allegations of abuse or harm appropriately. The Provider must ensure staff have access to an up-to-date version of the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Safeguarding Adults Multi Agency Policy and Procedures for safeguarding adults and separate children’s policy and that staff / managers are clear about the process of reporting any concerns about suspected abuse. The provider must include the safeguarding of adults and children in induction and training at a level appropriate to staff members’ roles in the Safeguarding Children process of alerting in the case of suspicion of abuse. The provider must ensure that staff understand and know the requirements to make accurate, factual records at the time of concern and to date and sign all written records / entries.

I understand that the Keeping Children Safe in Education 2016 duty places a requirement on all staff to follow specific child protection procedures should any concerns be made and that there is a Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy available for me to view at any time on the website. If we have any concerns for your child’s welfare we will raise these issues with you and /or follow our child protection policy Sometimes things go wrong despite our best efforts or you may have a suggestion. In either case please contact our Nursery Manager, ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ and she will be happy to try to resolve your concern. We have a complaints policy which can be viewed on the website.
SAFEGUARDING AND CHILD PROTECTION. The HSCB will continue to have a key role and remit in scrutinising the development and delivery of safeguarding services for children and young people and the evaluation of the efficiency and effectiveness of early help. There will be an active dialogue between the HSCB and the Children’s and Young People’s Partnership on strategic service developments, the delivery of quality interventions and supports and the evidenced outcomes from statutory intervention.
SAFEGUARDING AND CHILD PROTECTION. When seeing people under the age of 16, pharmacists are also required to act according to Child Protection Guidelines. The pharmacist should refer to the confidentiality aspect in their opening statement informing the client that: “the information you give is confidential unless I consider that you or some other young person is at risk of suffering emotional or physical harm. In these exceptional circumstances I have a duty to share this information with other health professionals such as ‘the children and family team at social services’. Hopefully, this can be done with your agreement, but this is not always required.” If the pharmacist has any concerns relating to a possible need to breach confidentiality for the above reasons, please contact clinical support or social services in the presence of the young person. Do not act in isolation.
SAFEGUARDING AND CHILD PROTECTION. 5.1 The Hirer specifically undertakes to ensure that all of its staff and volunteers providing or offering a service on behalf of the Hirer are subject to a valid enhanced disclosure check undertaken through the Disclosure and Barring Service including a check against the adults' barred list or the children's barred list, as appropriate, and have received appropriate safeguarding training.
5.2 If the School receives a concern / allegation in relation to an incident that happened whilst the Hirer was using the Premises, the School will follow their Allegations / Concerns Policy in relation to adults, including informing the local authority Designated Officer (LADO).
5.3 The School will inform the Hirer in the unlikely event that there are contractors on the School site who have not been subject to an appropriate DBS check. In such circumstances the Hirer must take appropriate steps to safeguard children in their care.
5.4 The Trust specifically reserves the right to terminate this agreement with immediate effect if the Hirer does not have in force the appropriate arrangements with regards to the safeguarding of children in their care. The Hire Agreement includes a Safeguarding Declaration.
5.5 Hirers must have and must provide evidence of first aid training, public liability insurance and any other insurance that the Trust reasonably considers necessary.
