Sabbatical Leave Review Committee. 19.10.19.1 The Sabbatical Leave Review Committee consisting of the Superintendent or designee, one (1) School Board Member, Executive Director, Human Resources, two (2) elementary, one (1) middle, and two (2) high school unit members, and two (2) principals shall be appointed by the Superintendent and approved by the Board no later than November 1 of each year. Of the initial appointees one (1) principal and two (2) of the unit members shall serve a one (1) year term. Which members are to serve such one (1) year terms shall be decided by lot. Subsequent terms of appointment for the unit members and principals shall be two (2) years. This committee will review all applications and make recommendations. It shall also be responsible for setting up criteria for the evaluation of all applications and circulating such criteria to each school by February 1. Recommendations of this committee shall be submitted to the Board of Education for final decision.

  • Sabbatical Leave Committee Shall consist of the following:

  • Sabbatical Leaves 49. Members taking their first Sabbatical Leave after a probationary period at The University of Western Ontario shall receive 90.0% of their Base Salary; Members taking their second or subsequent Sabbatical Leave from The University of Western Ontario shall receive 85.0% of their Base Salary.

  • Sabbatical Leave The purpose of a sabbatical leave is to enhance professional development, support department/unit goals, and/or meet the instructional, service, or research priorities of the university.

  • LABOR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE 1. A Statewide Labor Management Committee consisting of not more than five (5) members selected by the VSEA from among bargaining units represented by VSEA and not more than five (5) members selected by the State shall meet periodically to discuss a mutually agreed agenda which may include methods of improving labor relations, productivity, safety, and health problems of a continuing nature, or other problems which have an impact on conditions of employment; provided, however, these sessions are not for the purpose of discussing pending grievances or for collective bargaining on any subject.

  • APPRENTICESHIP COMMITTEE The central parties agree that within sixty (60) days of the commencement of this agreement, a joint local committee consisting of up to three representatives each will be formed to discuss the feasibility of establishing an apprenticeship program(s). If such a program is deemed feasible, the local parties will determine the terms and conditions of such program(s). The joint local committee will seek the availability of any federal or provincial funds to cover the costs of such programs.

  • JOINT LABOR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE In order to encourage open communication, promote harmonious labor relations, and resolve matters of mutual concern, the parties agree to create a joint labor- management committee. The committee will be governed by the following principles:

  • Occupational Health & Safety Committee (a) The Employer and the Union agree that they mutually desire to maintain standards of health and safety in the Home, in order to prevent accidents, injury and illness.

  • Health & Safety Committee The Employer agrees to establish a Health & Safety Committee for all employees of the company under the auspices of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). The Committee shall be made up of an equal number (not less than one each) of non-bargaining unit and bargaining unit persons who have completed their probationary period. The Union has the right to appoint the members representing the bargaining unit. The Committee shall keep minutes of its meetings and post them in the shop. One copy will be forwarded to the Union office.
