Current residents must participate in the HOST process to reserve housing for the following fall/spring. Residents will be given the opportunity to select rooms/suites/apartments for fall/spring by agreeing to the terms and conditions of the housing agreement in MyHousing and following the HOST procedure published and posted by the Office of Residence Life. New students must pay an admission deposit which includes reserving space in a residence hall/suite/campus apartment. All new freshmen are required to live on campus for their first four semesters (not including summer and winter sessions) unless they are over 20 years of age or are commuting from the home of their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) within approved commutable distance from campus. Students must complete MyHousing as soon as instructed by the Office of Residence Life to secure their space on-campus. New students are not eligible to select their housing type or location. The majority of new students are assigned to coed side-by-side housing as this is the most common and preferred type of housing available. Unauthorized room/suite/apartment changes are not permitted. Any student who changes an assignment without receiving prior permission from their Graduate Hall Director or from the Office of Residence Life will be charged $50.00.
