Common use of Rights in Work Product Clause in Contracts

Rights in Work Product. All inventions, discoveries, intellectual property, technical communications and records originated or prepared by Contractor pursuant to this Contract, including papers, reports, charts, computer programs, and other Documentation or improvements thereto, and including Contractor's administrative communications and records relating to this Contract (collectively, the "Work Product"), shall be Contractor's exclusive property. The provisions of this section may be revised in a Statement of Work. The provisions of this sub-section a) may be revised in a Statement of Work. However, all finished product or deliverables required under this contract shall be the exclusive property of the CSU and may be used at CSU’s discretion.
