Common use of Rights in Work Product Clause in Contracts

Rights in Work Product. a) All inventions, discoveries, intellectual property, technical communications and records originated or prepared by the Contractor pursuant to this Contract including papers, reports, charts, customized software, and other Documentation or improvements thereto, and including the Contractor’s administrative communications and records relating to this Contract (collectively, the “Work Product”), shall be the Contractor’s exclusive property. The provisions of this subsection “a)” may be revised in a Statement of Work.
