RIGHTS AND RECOGNITION. 1.1 Recognition Hydro Ottawa Limited (the Company) recognizes Local 636 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW-the Union) as the exclusive Bargaining Agent for all the employees of the Company below the rank of Supervisor, save and except the following: Executive Assistants, all employees of the Human Resources Department, Payroll Clerk, Engineers, Finance Officer (2), Programmer/Analyst (2), Key Accounts Coordinator (2), casual employees, students employed during the vacation period, students under a recognized Co-op Program, and those persons hired for less than 24 hours per week.

RIGHTS AND RECOGNITION. The Town recognizes the Union as the exclusive representative for the purposes of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay, hours, and other conditions of employment of its full- time members of the Fire Department engaged in firefighting, fire prevention, training, rescue, fire alarm and communication and motor vehicle equipment maintenance who are in either permanent or probationary pay status excluding, however, the Chief of the Department. RIGHTS AND RECOGNITION. The Employer agrees to advise the Union in accordance with this Agreement and provide the Union an opportunity to negotiate on changes in conditions of employment in accordance with the Federal Service Labor-Management Relations Statute. The Union president or designee will be given reasonable advanced notice of and be provided reasonable time to be present at formal discussions. A formal discussion is any meeting between one or more representatives of the Employer and one or more bargaining unit members concerning any grievance, personnel policy or practice or other general condition of employment. The Union will be given the opportunity to attend and participate.

  • PURPOSE AND RECOGNITION 1.01 The general purpose of this Agreement is to establish mutually satisfactory employment relations between the Employer and the Union. It provides means for the settlement of grievances and for the final settlement of disputes. Salaries, hours of work and other conditions of employment are established by mutual agreement. It is recognized that nurses wish to work co-operatively with the Employer to provide the best possible community health services.

  • RECOGNITION OF THE UNION 1. The BCPSEA recognizes the BCTF as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for the negotiation and administration of all terms and conditions of employment of all employees within the bargaining unit for which the BCTF is established as the bargaining agent pursuant to PELRA and subject to the provisions of this Collective Agreement.

  • Recognition and Rights of Stewards (a) The Employer recognizes the Union's right to select stewards to represent employees. The Employer and the Union will agree on the number of stewards, taking into account both operational and geographic considerations.

  • Union Recognition and Rights The Union agrees that any activities relevant to the administration of the Collective Agreement or other Union activities, which must be conducted during working hours, will be carried out in a professional manner with primary consideration to instructional duties. Where the College feels that such activities are interfering inappropriately with instructional duties, the Parties agree to meet and resolve the matter.

  • SCOPE & RECOGNITION 1.01 The Association recognizes the Union as the sole collective bargaining agent for all members of each local of the Union and all other employees, employed by members of the Association and despatched pursuant to the terms of this Agreement.
