Right to Suspend Work. If Owner fails to pay Design-Builder any undisputed amount that becomes due, Design-Builder, in addition to all other remedies provided in the Contract Documents, may stop Work pursuant to Section 15.4 hereof. Right to Suspend Work. MaineDOT has the right to suspend any or all work at any time for any reason as it deems necessary. Consultant may receive payment for the portion of services completed through the date of suspension.

Adjustments to the Estimated Contract Price shall compensate the Company for any costs or expenses the Company reasonably incurs as a result of the interruption, suspension or delay.

Consultant shall terminate or suspend performance of the Services on a schedule acceptable to Authority, and Consultant shall receive payment for all accepted work performed through the date of suspension plus any costs reasonably and necessarily incurred by Consultant to effect such suspension.
Right to Suspend Work. If CM/GC fails to correct Work which is not in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents, Owner may order CM/GC to stop the Work, or any portion thereof, until the cause for such order has been eliminated; however, the right of Owner to stop the Work shall not give rise to a duty on the part of Owner to exercise this right for the benefit of CM/GC or any other person or entity.

Right to Suspend Work. The County shall have the authority to suspend the Work, in whole or in part, for such periods and such reasons as the County may deem necessary or desirable. Any such suspension shall be in writing to the Contractor and the Contractor shall obey such order immediately and not resume the Work until so ordered in writing by the County. No such suspension of the Work shall be the basis for a claim by the Contractor for any increase in the Contract Amount provided that the suspension is for a reasonable time under the circumstances then existing. If the suspension of Work is caused by the County’s belief that non-conforming work is being installed, and subsequent investigation proves that the Work was non-conforming, the Contractor shall not be awarded additional time or costs.
