Return of City Property. In the event an employee leaves City service without returning all City-issued property, the City may deduct from the employee's final paycheck such amount as will fairly compensate the City for the value of the unreturned property. Such deduction is not meant to waive any other rights the City may have regarding obtaining the return of City property or seeking damages for the failure to return such property. This provision does not apply to the Employee Purchase Program (EPP) for computer systems, which is covered under separate agreement between the employee and the City, except that an employee owing the City money as a result of his/her participation in the EPP shall pay to the City the full amount due prior to his/her separation from the City or the City, at its discretion, may deduct the amount due from the employee's final paycheck.
Return of City Property. All employees leaving city employment shall return all city owned property and equipment issued to the employee. Failure to do so will result in the withholding of all pay and benefits otherwise due the employee. In the event the employee has used the purchase plan (radio equipment), the item purchased must be returned to the city or the item must be paid in full before the employee receives any final pay due the employee.

Upon the expiration or earlier termination of this Agreement, Operator shall surrender and turn over to City all City Property, and Operator shall at any time upon request by City take all necessary and appropriate actions, as requested by City, to document and confirm City’s ownership of and right, title and interest in the City Property.

Employee agrees to submit all public records, as defined in Florida Statutes Chapter 119, in Employee’s possession, custody, or control – including on Employee’s personal devices – to the City no later than the Separation Date.
