Return for Less than Full Time Hours. Employees may make application to their employer to return to duty for less than the full time hours they previously worked by taking weekly leave without pay. Such return to work is to be according to the following principles: The period is to be limited to 12 months after which full time duties must be resumed unless otherwise negotiated between the Hospital and employee. The employee is to make an application for leave without pay to reduce her/his full time weekly hours of work. This application should be made as early as possible to enable the employer to make suitable staffing arrangements. At least four weeks notice must be given. The quantum of leave without pay to be granted to individual employees is to be by mutual agreement with the Hospital.

Return for Less than Full Time Hours. (a) Employees have the right to request to return to work at less than full time hours as per 9.4.12(b) for up to two years.

  • Less-Than-Full-Time Employees (a) For less-than-full-time employees (including part-time, seasonal, and intermittent employees), who have at least eighty (80) paid regular hours in the month, the Employer shall contribute a prorated amount of the contribution for full-time employees. This prorated contribution shall be based on the ratio of paid regular hours to full-time hours to the nearest full percent, except that less-than-full-time employees who have at least eighty (80) paid regular hours in a month shall receive no less than one-half (½) of the contribution for full-time employees.

  • Full-Time Only During the year of the leave, seniority shall continue to accumulate. Service for the purposes of vacation and salary progression and other benefits will be retained but will not accumulate during the period of the leave.

  • Full-Time Employees A full-time employee is one engaged as such and whose ordinary hours of work average 38 hours per week. The employee’s ordinary hours of work will not exceed an average of 38 hours per week over a 4 week period. Although the actual hours of work may vary from week to week, with some weeks greater than 38 hours and other weeks less, the employee will not work in excess of 152 ordinary hours in any four week period.

  • Regular Full-Time Employees A regular full-time employee is one who works full-time on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular full-time employees accumulate seniority and are entitled to all benefits outlined in this Collective Agreement.
