RETRENCHMENT BENEFITS. Where the applicable conditions set out in the Civil Service’s Special Resignation Scheme (SRS) have been met, the benefits provided to an employee for redundancy or separation benefits will be based on the terms of the Civil Service’s SRS which may be in force from time to time. The notice on termination of service on grounds of redundancy to the affected staff shall be 1 month’s notice or 1 month’s gross salary in lieu thereof in accordance with the definition of gross rate of pay in the Employment Act. The Institution shall consult and negotiate with the Union on the amount of retrenchment benefit in line with the tripartite recommendation. For the purpose of this clause, termination by reason of reorganisation/restructuring, liquidation or obsolescence of Job of the Institution shall be treated as redundancy and therefore staff will be eligible for retrenchment benefits.
RETRENCHMENT BENEFITS. (1) Subject to the provision of section 45 of the Employment Act, an employee shall be paid a retrenchment benefit on the termination of service on the ground of bona fide redundancy or because the Club ceases business or the Club is placed under receivership, judicial management or by reason of any re-organisation or on the grounds of winding-up or liquidation whether voluntarily or involuntarily at the following rate: One month’s last drawn salary for each year of continuous service with the Club and a proportionate part thereof for any incomplete year of service.
