Common use of RETIRING TEACHERS Clause in Contracts

RETIRING TEACHERS. A teacher who has declared his/her intention to retire and has retired under the provisions of the Oklahoma Teachers Retirement System shall receive a severance bonus of $100 per year of service with the Shawnee Public Schools based upon a maximum of eighteen (18) years. This payment will be paid as a separate payment.

RETIRING TEACHERS. ‌ A teacher who has declared his/her intention to retire and has retired under the provisions of the Oklahoma Teachers Retirement System shall receive a severance bonus of $100 per year of service with the Shawnee Public Schools based upon a maximum of eighteen (18) years. Any unused sick leave shall be bought back by the District at $25.00 per day upon retirement. This payment will be paid as a separate payment.. (2021)
