Retention of Status. A permanent employee who successfully bids for a Long Assignment, or a Short Assignment (if posted), shall be entitled to retain her status as a permanent employee, and shall be entitled to return to her former position. If the position no longer exists, the matter shall be referred to the Joint Committee on Technological Change.
Retention of Status. An employee on approved paid or unpaid leave will retain her/his employment status for the duration of the leave. On returning from any leave of absence under Article 13, the regular faculty member is assured of resuming his/her previous faculty position and duties, or an equivalent position and duties without loss of FTE service or benefits. Seniority shall be calculated from the date of employment by the company. The operation of this Article is subject to the provisions of Article 20.10.
