Common use of Rest Breaks Clause in Contracts

Rest Breaks. A. Employees shall be provided a fifteen (15) minute rest break during the first four (4) hours of their shift. The employee’s first break shall be given no sooner than one and one half (1 ½) hours after the start of the shift. For Collections staff, the employee’s first break shall be given no sooner than one and one half (1 ½) hours after the start of the drive. For blood drives scheduled with 4 4.5 hours of donor processing time or less, the employee’s first break shall be given no sooner than the completion of drive setup. A second fifteen (15) minute rest break shall be given during the second four (4) hours of the employee’s shift.
