The 'Rest break during overtime' clause establishes an employee's right to take a designated rest period when working beyond their regular hours. It may be agreed between the employee and the Company that the break be taken once the overtime is completed. 14.4.2 An employee working overtime is entitled to a rest break of 20 minutes without deduction of pay after each four hour period of overtime worked. 14.4.3 Where an employee is required to work overtime on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, the first rest break will be paid at the employee’s ordinary rate of pay. 14.4.4 The Company and employee may agree to any variation of this subclause to meet the circumstances of the work, provided that the Company is not required to make any payment in excess or less than what otherwise would be required under this section 14.4.
