Rest Between Shifts. Unless performing standby duty, each nurse, except those who have agreed to work and are working twelve (12) hour regularly scheduled shifts, shall have an unbroken rest period of at least twelve (12) hours between shifts. Each nurse who has agreed to work and is working a regularly scheduled twelve (12) hour shift shall have an unbroken rest period of at least ten (10) hours between shifts. Any time worked without the required rest shall be paid at the premium rate of time and one-half the regular rate of pay.
