Responsibilities of Parents. Parents and guardians are responsible for reading and discussing with their children the acceptable and unacceptable uses of the Internet as described in this document. RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT: Sun River Valley School District acknowledges that it is impossible to predict with certainty what information users might locate on the Internet. The electronic information available to users does not imply endorsement by the school of the content, nor does the school make any guarantee as to the accuracy of information received on the Internet. The school shall make every effort to see that this educational resource is used responsibly by the user. Therefore, parents/guardians will not hold Sun River Valley Schools responsible for materials acquired on the Internet. Use of the Internet demands personal responsibility and understanding of acceptable use procedures. Use of the internet is a privilege, not a right. General rules for behavior and communications apply when using the Internet/LAN. Failure to follow the acceptable use procedures may result in the loss of privilege to use this educational tool. If applicable, disciplinary measures will be taken. Everyone accessing the Internet at Sun River Valley Schools must agree to the conditions of this policy and sign the following agreement before using on-line services.
