Team Member Roles Team member roles are defined below, however it is the expectation of everyone on the team to serve as an engaged individual contributor regardless of their role for the semester. The following are the team member roles for Periscope, and the responsibilities and operational expectations of each role: Team Leader- Sets meeting times; creates and distributes agendas (Appendix E); drives agenda at meetings assists in conflict management Assistant Team Leader- Assists Team Leader with creating agendas; serves as meeting leader driving the agenda should the Team Leader not be present; becomes the Mediator should the Team Leader be in conflict with the Team as a whole, or another Team Member Project Manager- Breaks down assignments into sections and assigns deadlines and tasks to team members for contributions; completes final version of assignment for team proofing and approval; seeks assignment clarification from professors as needed; submits assignment; communicates missed or late assignments with team member and team leader for resolution or engagement in the disciplinary process Assistant Project Manager- Assists Project Manager with design of assignment breakdown; assists in communicating deadlines/ tasks to team members as needed; provides project updates at team meetings in the event the Project Manager is not present; assists in the collecting and compiling of content as needed; assumes the role of second Project Manager should multiple assignments arise in one semester. (Note: Multiple assignments may require additional assistant project managers.) Scribe- Keeps minutes at the meetings; serves as timekeeper during meetings; refines and distributes minutes within 48 hours of each meeting Team Member- An actively engaged individual contributor to the assignment, working as directed by the Project Manager and Team Leader; adheres to deadlines for contributions; may be enacted as an additional assistant to the project manager, if necessary.
