Common use of Residential Treatment Clause in Contracts

Residential Treatment. Applicable to all employees for drug and alcohol addictions and mental health treatment. This benefit will cover residential treatment for up to a maximum of 30 days and a maximum $20,000 per stay. Services must be provided in a ‘licensed’ facility and must be medically necessary. The plan will be second payer to any provincially funded benefits that apply. This benefit is subject to predetermination by the group benefits carrier.
