This clause ensures that both parties understand how research and evaluation will be managed, helping to protect sensitive information and clarify expectations regarding the use and dissemination of results.

Research and Evaluation. The Contractor tasks and responsibilities are further described below in section 5 of this SOW and are to be implemented as soon as practical upon contract execution. As campaign activities are highly dependent upon factors beyond the State’s control, such as extreme weather, the Contractor will be expected to revise strategy and adjust messaging and tactics to maximize campaign efficiencies over the course of the agreement. Goals for Phase 3:
a. Support water conservation partnerships/sponsorships along with other contracted vendors among commercial and business entities in California.
b. Continue a longer-term cultural shift in making saving water a way of life with water-wise actions that help Californians adapt to hotter and drier climate.
c. Educate Californians on the importance of yard transformation as a beautiful, scalable way to conserve the most water and connect residents directly to local resources & rebates. Key audiences for Phase 3 include:
a. Regions and zip codes with the greatest opportunities for turf transformation.
b. Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional audiences with high outdoor water usage to drive water conservation among California's businesses and to leverage business leaders as messengers (AB1572).
c. Collaborate with public water agencies in high water use regions and across the state who can leverage ratepayer communications and regional relationships to amplify calls for conservation. Messaging and efforts should be informed by available data, findings from qualitative and quantitative research, and feedback loops from outreach efforts. Selected vendors will receive the most recent research findings.

Participating nations are encouraged to invest in research and evaluation of the potential impact of quantum computing on AI development, including its benefits, challenges, and necessary safeguards. Such research should align with the principles of AI safety, ethics, and international cooperation. Participating nations shall collaborate to advance scientific understanding, risk assessment methodologies, and the development of guidelines that ensure the responsible integration of quantum computing into AI systems.

Research and Evaluation. If the Contractor undertakes or commissions any research in connection with this Agreement, the Services or Applicable Persons, the Contractor shall, and shall ensure that each of the Contractor Personnel shall: (i) comply with the requirements set out in the Mandatory Probation Instruction “Research Applications” and (ii) provide to the Authority a copy of all evidence and research findings that are produced as a result of that research .
