Required Staff Development. There are a number of staff development topics that are required annually of members of the Wichita Public School employees, including but not limited to: Diversity, Asbestos, Bloodborne Pathogens, Reporting Suspected Child Abuse, Drug Free Workplace, and Sexual Harassment. These may be delivered in person or electronically through videos or electronic courses.

Required Staff Development. There are a number of staff development topics that are required of members of the Wichita Public Schools such as Diversity, Asbestos, Bloodborne Pathogens, Reporting Suspected Child Abuse, Drug Free Workplace, and Sexual Harassment. Section E: Plan of Assistance (for tenured teachers and beyond) Paragraph 1: The Plan of Assistance is a process designed to provide a structured format to identify performance based concerns, develop a plan of action to address the concerns, motivate and provide assistance and feedback in order to improve performance. The Plan of Assistance is initiated when other means of the assistive process have not been successful and the supervisor determines that the teacher needs additional assistance and support to maintain or achieve an acceptable level of performance. The assistive process shall provide support above and beyond what is provided to the staff as a whole. During the assistive process the building principal will observe performance at least twice, with each observation being at least thirty (30) minutes in length, provide written feedback, resources, support or other interventions aimed at improving performance. The duration of a Plan of Assistance must be at least nine (9) weeks and shall include:
Required Staff Development. Development of the mid-management staff will have a high priority. Either the mid- manager's immediate supervisor, the department administrator, or the President of the College may require a mid-manager to undertake specific staff development activities. With input from the mid-managers, the College administration will develop an ongoing mid-management staff development program that will offer opportunities to mid-managers to improve the skills necessary to perform their assignment and to meet the goals of the College district. All expenses for required staff development will be paid by the College district and will require prior approval from the area Vice President.
Required Staff Development. The program managers may require unit members to attend staff development sessions; provided, however, such required programs shall be limited to ten (10) after school hours without pay per school year; and may be included as part of the non- teaching duties described in Article 13.4. If such training session or workshop is held outside a fifty (50) mile radius from the YCOE, travel time will be included within the ten (10) hours limit.

  • Staff Development ‌ The County and the Association agree that the County retains full authority to determine training needs, resources that can be made available, and the method of payment for training authorized by the County. Nothing in this subsection shall preclude the right of an employee to request specific training.

  • Staff Development Leave (a) An employee shall be granted leave without loss of pay, at her basic rate of pay, to take courses (including related examinations), conferences, conventions, seminars, workshops, symposiums or similar out-of-service programs, at the request of the Employer. The amount of pay received by an employee shall not exceed the full-time daily hours of work as outlined in Article 14.2. When such leave is granted, the Employer shall bear the full cost, including tuition fees, entrance or registration fees, laboratory fees, and course-related books. The Employer shall also reimburse the employee for approved travelling, subsistence, and other legitimate, applicable expenses.

  • Independent Development Receiving Party may currently or in the future be developing information internally, or receiving information internally, or receiving information from other parties that may be similar to the Disclosing Party's Confidential Information. Accordingly, nothing in this Agreement will be construed as a representation or inference that Receiving Party will not develop or have developed products or services, that, without violation of this Agreement, might compete with the products or systems contemplated by the Disclosing Party's Confidential Information.

  • Professional Development Plan Professional Development Plan (PDP) refers to plans developed by faculty members addressing the criteria contained in Article 22 and Appendix G.

  • Design Development An interim step in the design process. Design Development documents consist of plans, elevations, and other drawings and outline specifications. These documents will fix and illustrate the size and character of the entire project in its essentials as to kinds of materials, type of structure, grade elevations, sidewalks, utilities, roads, parking areas, mechanical and electrical systems, and such other work as may be required.
