Required Course Work. 1. Beyond the professional development reimbursement program, if the District directs a member or members to take specific course work, the District shall provide 100 percent of the costs for textbooks or supplies associated with that course work, excluding the actual cost of any university credit available for the course. The member may apply for tuition reimbursement as provided above should such credit be desired. Credit earned for such course work may be used toward horizontal movement on the salary schedule as defined in Article 13 (C.2). This section does not apply to courses or programs taken by a member to satisfy the requirements of a program of assistance for improvement, but the member can apply to the professional development fund for reimbursement for those courses.

Required Course Work. Any course which the administration or Board requires a teacher to take shall be paid for by the Board. Such Board payment shall not count as tuition reimbursement provided to each teacher under the terms of this article. In the event the Board requires a teacher to take a course or examination for the purpose of attaining HQT status the costs related thereto shall be paid by the Board and shall not reduce professional development monies provided under this Article.
Required Course Work. If the Board requires additional class work to be completed for a teacher, who is not under official remediation, to qualify for/or remain in a specific position, the Board will reimburse the teacher for the cost of tuition, books, and other related fees. The Board reserves the right to recommend the course(s) and the college/university. The affected teacher will be able to choose another college/university. If an accredited private college/university is chosen, that selected institution will be approved provided that the course content is equivalent to the Board's recommendation as determined by the administration. The teacher shall be responsible for any cost difference between the published costs of the Board recommended college/university and the college/university selected. The teacher must receive a grade of "C" or better (or "Pass" if a Pass- Fail system is employed).

Required Course Work. If a bargaining unit member is required as part of his job to take either a correspondence course or attend classes, the bargaining unit member's department shall pay one hundred percent (100%) of the cost. Payment shall be made at the time the bargaining unit member enrolls in the program. All required courses shall first be approved by the bargaining unit member's depaiiment head or designee as appropriate. Time spent in class shall be considered time worked, and therefore, employees shall be compensated in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The City shall have the exclusive right to determine what constitutes required training. Management shall make a good faith effort to flex members' schedules whenever required training takes place during their off-duty hours.

  • Required Courses When a supervisor requires an employee to take a course to update his/her knowledge in a field directly related to the employee's assigned duties, all costs associated with the course shall be paid by the department and the employee shall not be required to "make up" the time spent attending class. Each situation of this nature shall require the advance written approval of the college Xxxx or appropriate Vice President.

  • Remedial work If any investigation, site monitoring, containment, clean-up, Restoration or other remedial work (“Remedial Work”) is necessary to comply with any Hazardous Materials Law or order of any Governmental Authority that has or acquires jurisdiction over the Mortgaged Property or the use, operation or improvement of the Mortgaged Property, or is otherwise required by Lender as a consequence of any Prohibited Activity or Condition or to prevent the occurrence of a Prohibited Activity or Condition, Borrower will, by the earlier of (i) the applicable deadline required by Hazardous Materials Law, or (ii) 30 days after Notice from Lender demanding such action, begin performing the Remedial Work, and thereafter diligently prosecute it to completion, and must in any event complete the work by the time required by applicable Hazardous Materials Law. If Borrower fails to begin on a timely basis or diligently prosecute any required Remedial Work, Lender may, at its option, cause the Remedial Work to be completed, in which case Borrower will reimburse Lender on demand for the cost of doing so. Any reimbursement due from Borrower to Lender will become part of the Indebtedness as provided in Section 9.02.

  • Minimum Vendor Legal Requirements Vendor shall remain aware of and comply with this Agreement and all local, state, and federal laws governing the sale of products/services offered by Vendor under this contract. Such applicable laws, ordinances, and policies must be complied with even if not specified herein.
