Requests For Annual Leave. Requests for annual leave must be made to the supervisor in writing. The employee is expected to provide at least two (2) weeks notice of his/her intent to take annual leave of greater than five (5) consecutive days. In all other cases the employee is expected to provide at least twenty-four (24) hours notice unless it can be shown that there is extenuating circumstances. In an emergency, an application may be made by telephone (to be confirmed in writing) where the particular circumstances warrant it. Such applications shall not be reasonably withheld.
Requests For Annual Leave. Annual leave shall be earned before being taken. All requests for annual leave must receive approval prior to the leave being taken. Requests for annual leave in excess of three Days shall be submitted to the Employee's Division/Department/Unit Chair/Supervisor at least 30 calendar days in advance of the date on which the Employee wishes to begin leave.
