Reporting Assaults. Employees shall immediately report cases of assault suffered by them in connection with their employment to their principal or other immediate supervisor and to the police.

A separate report may be filed by the employee with the police and/or the Association. The Principal or immediate Supervisor shall in no way hinder the making of such a report, and will offer assistance in making the report if requested.

The Parties agree to refer to the JLMC to study the number and nature of assaults and the administrative response to said assaults and to make recommendations to the School Committee to create the most safe system-wide work environment.
