Renewal of Leave. Upon written request by the faculty member, a leave of absence may be renewed for a period up to one (1) additional year, provided the provisions in Section 15.9.2 are met and the request is approved by the President.

Renewal of Leave. Upon Board approval, such leave may be renewed for up to one additional year.
Renewal of Leave. Prior to exhaustion of an initial unpaid leave, an employee may make a written request or application for renewal or extension of said leave for an additional period not to exceed one (1) year. The granting or denial of any such leave shall be in the Board’s sole discretion, and shall be subject to such terms or conditions as the Board may impose.
Renewal of Leave. It is intended that unpaid leaves under this section 10.15 are granted only once. Requests for renewal of such leaves, however, must be received by the District within the time lines in section 10.15.6 and will be considered in the same manner as set forth in sections 10.15.2 through 10.15.2.3.

  • Approval of Leave Any leave of absence will be submitted to the Company for approval in writing. No approved leave of absence will affect any employee’s seniority rights when used for the purpose granted and providing the employee returns to work at the expiration of his/her leave.

  • Notice of Leave In any case in which the necessity for FMLA leave is based upon an expected birth or placement for adoption, or planned medical treatment for a serious health condition of the employee, family member, or member of the employee’s household, the employee will provide the Superintendent with at least sixty (60) calendar days advance written notice of the date the leave is to begin. When the need for FMLA leave is due to unforeseen circumstances and advance notice is not practicable, the employee will provide notice of the need for such leave as soon as practicable.

  • Length of Leave Birth Mother A pregnant employee shall be entitled to up to seventeen (17) consecutive weeks of maternity leave and up to thirty-five (35) consecutive weeks of parental leave, all without pay. The parental leave must immediately follow the maternity leave. In the event the birth mother dies or is totally disabled, an employee who is the father of the child shall be entitled to both maternity and parental leave without pay.

  • Extension of Leave 5 If an extension of the leave is required, a request for the extension must be 6 submitted in writing at least five (5) days in advance of the leave expiration 7 or as soon as practical. Consideration of an extension will be based on the 8 same criteria as the original request. Failure to return to work at the 9 expiration of the leave may result in termination.

  • Terms of Leave This leave shall be granted, in the following instances, for no more than a total of twelve (12) work weeks during the school year, July 1 through June 30. It shall be granted to eligible bargaining unit members for: (A) to care for the employee's child after birth, or following placement for adoption or xxxxxx care; (B) to care for the employee's spouse, son, daughter, or parent who has a serious health condition; or (C) for a serious health condition that makes the employee unable to perform the employee's job.

  • Commencement of Leave Parental leave must commence no later than the first anniversary date of the birth or adoption of the child or of the date on which the child comes into the actual care and custody of the employee. The employee will decide when his or her parental leave is to commence.

  • Accrual of Leave (a) An employee’s entitlement to paid recreation leave accrues progressively during a year of service according to the employee’s ordinary hours of work.
