Renewable Energy. IDTE’s Basic Renewable Energy Product, is a renewably sourced product that has a renewable mix that is at least 50% greater than the Renewable Energy Standard obligation for load-serving entities in any given compliance year under the New York Public Service Commission’s Clean Energy Standard. IDTE’s Premium Renewable Energy Product, is a 100% renewably sourced product. IDTE may satisfy its renewability commitments by purchasing and retiring renewable energy credits (RECs) from any renewable energy resource that satisfies the definition of “renewable” under the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act. Recognized technologies include, solar thermal, photovoltaics, on land and offshore wind, hydroelectric, geothermal electric, geothermal ground source heat, tidal energy, wave energy, ocean thermal, and fuel cells which do not utilize a fossil fuel resource in the process of generating electricity. Election of either of the renewable energy products supports the development of renewable resources, but Customer understands and acknowledges that Customer may not actually be supplied with renewable energy. Residents of the five boroughs of New York City will be charged an additional monthly fee of $4.95/month (prorated as a daily fee) for the Premium Renewable Energy Product.
Renewable Energy. Wind and solar development is occurring in the Permian Basin, including in or near DSL Habitat. West Texas development coincides with statewide trends. Texas is leading the nation (and ranked sixth in the world) in wind energy development (Brody, 2018). The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) projects that solar capacity will triple to 3,000 megawatts by 2020 (Xxxxxxx and Handy, 2018).
Renewable Energy. As discussed above, wind and solar energy companies recently began to develop operations in the Permian Basin. In Texas, there is no federal or state regulation of wind or solar energy operations. Texas exercises authority over its own electric grid through ERCOT. Without a permitting process, state agencies like TPWD do not have a formal role in wind development (Brody 2018). Texas has declined to provide voluntary wildlife guidelines for developers, although TPWD can provide an advisory opinion if requested by the company (Stemmer 2011). The CPA has been successful in working with solar developers through incentive programs to avoid or limit encroachment by solar projects in DSL Habitat. The 2020 DSL CCAA offers the ability to bring substantial acres of DSL Habitat on private lands into conservation, generate sustainable revenue to fund conservation and scientific study under the plan, and limit the overall disturbance from renewable energy development.
Renewable Energy. 7.1 The offshore renewable energy industry comprises wind, wave and tidal developments. Operational experience has indicated that the three most likely scenarios where HSE, MCA and MAIB jurisdiction may overlap in terms of vessels and energy structures are:
Renewable Energy. The Renewable Energy Contract Quantity is set forth in Exhibit A and shall be delivered during the time periods specified in Exhibit A.
Renewable Energy. In order to maximize renewable energy opportunities for this Project, Developer shall install photovoltaic panels on the Project’s roof in accordance with the roof solar plan included in the Project Plans. Such panels shall not be counted in the determination of the maximum height of the Project.
Renewable Energy. The term ‘‘renewable energy’’ means energy derived from resources that are regenerative or that cannot be depleted, including solar, wind, ethanol, and biodiesel fuels.
Renewable Energy. In order to maximize renewable energy opportunities for this Project, solar energy systems, including photovoltaic panels, solar thermal/hot water systems, and/or other types of commercially available solar energy systems, shall be installed on the Building’s roof in areas appropriate for solar placement to achieve reasonable maximum coverage of the roof area, as confirmed by the City’s Planning Director working in consultation with the City’s Office of Sustainability. Areas of the roof available and appropriate for solar systems placement shall exclude any areas necessary or required for rooftop equipment, and any roof areas necessary for building or equipment maintenance, Fire Department access, and/or other applicable code, legally-mandated or otherwise necessary access and/or clearances. The type or types of such renewable energy systems to be installed on the Building’s roof shall be as recommended by a professional engineer trained in solar system design and installation on similar types of commercial buildings in downtown urban environments. The professional engineer shall consult with the City’s Office of Sustainability during the process of evaluating and selecting the type or types of renewable energy systems for this Building. Any such solar system installations shall not be counted in the determination of the maximum height of the Building.
Renewable Energy. Calpine/Bechtel shall explore and evaluate renewable energy opportunities together with the City. Calpine/Bechtel shall report annually to the MECCAC on the results of that evaluation. article 5 WATER AND SEWER Facilities
Renewable Energy. 15.1 APS shall make its best efforts to acquire new renewable energy resources with annual generation or savings of 1,700,000 MWh to be in-service by December 31, 2015, consistent with APS’ Resource Plan report, dated January 29, 2009, Appendix 1, Table 1 (Selected Resource Plan: Loads and Resources Table), Docket No. E-01345A-09-0037. These new resources shall be in addition to existing resources or commitments as of the end of 2008, as identified in APS’ 2008 RES Compliance Report dated April 1, 2009, Docket No. E-01345A-07-0468. These new renewable acquisitions, in combination with existing renewable commitments, are currently estimated to be approximately 10% of retail sales by the end of 2015. Renewable resources are those defined in A.A.C. R14-2-1802. APS shall obtain a mix of new distributed and non-distributed renewable energy resources. APS shall report to the Commission on its plans for and progress towards acquiring the new resources, including any delays or shortfalls, in its Renewable Energy Standard Implementation Plans and RES Compliance Reports, and in future resource planning filings.
