Remediation of Excavated Trenches and Drainage Ditches. The Contractor shall be responsible for the remediation of all trenches excavated in the course of the Work. This remediation may include, but is not limited to, the backfilling of any and all sunken areas, compacting said backfill to match the adjoining grade(s), reseeding any sod or lawn areas, and resurfacing areas with concrete or asphalt to match the adjoining material. All trench backfill and compaction shall conform to all appropriate rules, regulations, and specifications in the City Supplement as well as any appropriate local street jurisdiction. The Contractor shall be responsible for any and all necessary restoration, reshaping, and/or regrading of any drainage ditches and/or roadway berms affected by the Work.
