The State and the Contractor agree that services provided pursuant to this Contract shall be non-sectarian in nature and that religious activities shall not be included in any activities to be conducted hereunder. The Contractor agrees that, if it otherwise conducts religious activities as part of its organization, any inherently religious activities must be offered separately, in time or location, from the programs or services funded with direct federal financial assistance and participation must be voluntary for beneficiaries of the programs or services funded with such assistance.

FOIA Requests If the Board receives a Freedom of Information Act request for documents in an employee's central personnel file, the Employer shall make a good faith attempt to promptly orally notify the employee and the Association of the receipt of the request. Upon request and insofar as time reasonably permits, the Employer's designated FOIA Officer shall meet with the affected employee and/or the employee's representatives to review the board's proposed response to the request. The provision in this article shall not prevent the Association from having access to any employment records reasonably related to its duties as the exclusive bargain representative.   • Political Activities Grant funds cannot be used for the following activities:

  • Political Activity An employee shall not use his or her official authority for the purpose of interfering with or affecting the nomination or election of any candidate for public office. An employee shall not command or solicit in a coercive fashion from any other employee direct or indirect participation in any political activity or enforce or solicit in a coercive fashion contribution for any political party, organization, or candidate. An employee shall retain his or her right to vote and freely express opinions on all political subjects. An employee shall not be prohibited from participation in local community activities or from holding public office in the community in which the employee resides, provided that such activity does not conflict with Section 3.01 of the Rules and Regulations for Personnel Administration (and the Federal Hatch Act to the extent that employees of agencies receiving federal funds are subject thereto).

  • Political Activity Prohibited a. None of the funds, materials, property or services provided directly or indirectly under this contract shall be used for partisan political activity.

  • Religious Activities The Subrecipient agrees that funds provided under this Agreement will not be utilized for inherently religious activities prohibited by 24 CFR 570.200(j), such as worship, religious instruction, or proselytization.

  • Political Action No Employee shall be disciplined for participation in any political action(s) called for by the Canadian Labour Congress, its affiliates, or subordinate bodies.

  • Inherently Religious Activities Grantee may not use grant funding to engage in inherently religious activities, such as proselytizing, scripture study, or worship. Grantees may engage in inherently religious activities; however, these activities must be separate in time or location from the grant- funded program. Moreover, grantees must not compel program beneficiaries to participate in inherently religious activities. These requirements apply to all grantees, not just faith-based organizations.

  • Prohibition on Use of Public Funds for Political Activity In performing the Services, Contractor shall comply with San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 12G, which prohibits funds appropriated by the City for this Agreement from being expended to participate in, support, or attempt to influence any political campaign for a candidate or for a ballot measure. Contractor is subject to the enforcement and penalty provisions in Chapter 12G.

  • Typical activities Manage a large functional unit with a diverse or complex set of functions and significant resources.

  • Illegal Activities Seller shall not engage in any conduct or activity that could subject its assets to forfeiture or seizure.

  • Unlawful Activities Member agrees not to use the premises or any part thereof for the conduct of unlawful activities.
