RELIEF POSITIONS. Back-up training will be provided as Relief Positions. Positions will be posted by the Company, and employees selected pursuant to Article 3.14. When the Company deems relief assistance is necessary, it shall assign the senior employee holding the Relief Posting. Lead Hand relief positions must come from within the department. The Relief person scheduled will be paid at the higher classification when transferred to the position for more than one (1) hour at any one (1) time and 22 paid for the number of hours worked in the scheduled relief position.

RELIEF POSITIONS. The following provisions shall apply to those members engaged in relief positions. Clauses in the Addendum which have the same numerical designation as clauses in the Main Agreement shall supersede those clauses of the Main Agreement. Where conflict or differences exist between the clauses contained in the Addendum and the clauses contained in the main portion of the Collective agreement, the specific provisions contained in the Addendum shall prevail in the respect of the aforementioned members engaged in relief positions. In the interests of creating a new Relief Positions program that will apply for members who are seeking reduced hours of work due to personal circumstances, the following terms are agreed between the parties: 🞟 That the terms contained in the Letter of Understanding are intended to replace the current Job Share Letter of Understanding in its entirety for the duration of the trial period; 🞟 That there shall be a trial period of one year from the date of ratification after which time the terms will be reviewed by the parties. GENERAL PROVISIONS The following "General Provisions" shall apply to all relief position arrangements:
RELIEF POSITIONS. A. Where relief positions are used as provided for in Rule 29 and there is a sufficient number of regularly assigned employes to provide regular consecutive relief days in multiples of five (5), such regular assigned employes may be relieved two (2) consecutive days in seven (7), subject to provisions of paragraph G of Rule 29, by one or more regularly assigned relief positions. No employe will be regularly assigned to such relief position more or less than five (5) days per week and will work the same assigned hours, and at the same rate, as those of the employe he is relieving; preference in relief days and rest periods of relief positions to be subject to agreement between representatives of Carrier and Employes.

  • Relief Period A relief period is a rest period of fifteen (15) minutes which shall be considered as work time.

  • Relief Periods Employees will be allowed breaks within the shift without reduction in pay and without increasing the regular working hours as follows: Shift Length Breaks Up to, and including 5.5 hours 1 – 15 minute break More than 5.5 hours 2 – 15 minute breaks In addition to the above, any shift over five (5) hours will also have a half (½) hour unpaid lunch within the shift.

  • New Positions A. Each newly created position shall be assigned by the Employer to the national craft unit most appropriate for such position within thirty (30) days after its creation. Before such assignment of each new position the Employer shall consult with the Union for the purpose of assigning the new position to the national craft unit most appropriate for such position. The following criteria shall be used in making this determination:

  • Excluded Positions When a College temporarily assigns an employee to the duties and responsibilities of a position excluded from the provisions of this Collective Agreement, the employee's obligations to contribute to the regular monthly Union dues under Article 5.4 and his/her seniority shall continue during the period of such temporary assignment up to a maximum period of twelve

  • Permanent Positions All part-time and full-time positions shall be permanent unless identified as being fixed term in accordance with clause 2.2.5.

  • Float Positions The Employer may establish regular float positions which are consecutive hour shifts.

  • VACANCIES, TERM POSITIONS AND NEW POSITIONS 3001 Subject to section 3002 herein, the Employer agrees to post notices of vacant, term or new positions covered under this Agreement for at least seven (7) days to enable nurses presently in the employ of the Employer to apply for same. Such posting shall not preclude the Employer from advertising outside the site premises. All postings shall state minimum qualifications required, the equivalent to full-time (E.F.T.) and date of closing of the competition. Job descriptions shall be available to applicants on request. 3002 The Employer will be required to post a notice of vacancy for only five (5) days for a vacancy that is created by:

  • New Position An approved position not reflected in the current year budget complement.

  • Open Positions In order to ensure that all interested employees are advised of employment opportunities, notice of job vacancies for regular full or part time positions will be sent to the Union, and job announcements will be posted on designated bulletin boards in the office. In addition, information about all job vacancies will be available to employees by calling the office and in pay envelopes. All regular full or part time vacancies will be posted and filled in accordance with this Agreement. Postings will include position requirements, minimum qualifications, substitute and preferred qualifications (if any) and base rate of pay.

  • Relief Events Subject to Clause 13.3, and notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement, the Supplier shall have no liability for failure to perform the Services or its other obligations under this Agreement if it is prevented, hindered or delayed in doing so as a result of any Relief Event.
