Reliability. All cables shall be designed for operation on systems where continuity of supply is the first consideration. They shall also be satisfactory in operation under the atmospheric and climatic conditions prevailing at the site and under such variations of current, voltage and frequency as may be met under fault and surge conditions on the system.
