Released Time for Association Meetings. Each school year the Association will be allowed up to four (4) hours of released time per month from the second shift to attend association membership meetings. The four (4) hours may be apportioned for not more than nine (9) meetings each school year. The date, time, and place of the meetings shall be mutually arranged between the employer and the Association president, but the employer shall receive at least three (3) days notice of proposed meeting. Any second shift employees who are otherwise scheduled to work on the date and at the time of the meeting shall be released from their scheduled duties, without loss of pay, only if they shall attend the meetings, which shall include necessary travel time to and from their work sites. The released employees shall complete their assigned duties and shift upon conclusion of the meeting. The parties will endeavor to establish the meeting date, time, and place that will minimize the number of employees released from work, but which will reasonably assure maximum attendance.

Released Time for Association Meetings. Members of OAPSE Local 265 that have been elected to represent their Association may be granted a maximum of six (6) days per year to attend Association meetings or conferences with pay. If an Association officer or an appointed delegate is requested by the Association to attend a meeting or conference the following procedure must be followed:

Released Time for Association Meetings. Subject to the need for orderly scheduling and emergencies, the Employer agrees that members of the Association’s Executive Board, limited to seven (7) Bargaining Unit Members, shall be permitted reasonable time off within a calendar year, not to exceed sixteen (16) hours per Bargaining Unit Member, without loss of pay, to attend general, board, special meetings of the Association, provided that at least one hundred sixty­eight (168) hours’ notice of such meetings shall be given in writing to the Commander of Staff Services, and provided further that the names of such officials and Bargaining Unit Members shall be certified in writing to the Commander of Staff Services. Use of electronic mail (e­mail) satisfies the “in writing” requirement of this section. The certified Bargaining Unit Members shall not modify their schedule in an effort to be on duty at the time a general, board or special meeting of the Association is scheduled. The Association Executive Board will make every attempt to use the day on the Association’s regularly scheduled meeting date.

  • Association Meetings A. The Association shall have the right to use school facilities for meetings without cost after the regular students' school day.

  • Professional Meetings Employees should be encouraged to and may, with the approval of the supervisor, attend professional meetings, conferences, and activities. Subject to the availability of funds, the employee's expenses in connection with such meetings, conferences, or activities shall be reimbursed in accordance with the applicable provisions of State law and university rules.

  • Informal Meetings The Engineer shall provide technical assistance, preparation of exhibits for, and minutes of informal meetings requested by the public to discuss the pending impacts to neighborhoods and businesses due to roadway shutdowns, detours and access restrictions or as deemed necessary. This is not to be confused with the formal public meetings held during the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process during schematic approval for Public Involvement. It is not anticipated that the Engineer’s participation will be needed for the NEPA process. Assistance (exhibits, attendance, etc.) may be required for a formal public meeting/hearing associated with schematic approval work.
