Release Management. The purpose of Release Management is to build, test and deliver the capability to provide the specified Services and that will accomplish the stakeholders’ requirements and deliver the intended objectives, and to establish effective use, delivery and support of the Service and its underpinning technologies and processes. Service Provider’s responsibilities include:
Release Management. Every year a number of releases are made available to UNISERV Customer. As part of the CDH Managed Service, the new releases are installed for Customers CHD Solution in combination with Customer data and configurations. Initially UNISERV deploys the new release to Customers test Instance to enable Customer two (2) weeks of integration testing with other systems Customer employs. After the two (2) weeks, UNISERV deploys the new release to Customers production Instance.
Release Management. Suppliers shall ensure that ITIL-aligned release management is used for the rollout of changes to hardware and software (including version upgrades or configuration); and Suppliers shall ensure that any changes to hardware or software (including version upgrades or configuration) can be rolled back to the previous working configuration. Suppliers shall ensure that any new releases are discussed with the Contracting Body, and the implementation plan for such new releases is agreed with them, prior to rollout.
Release Management. The system’s release schedule involves planning, approval for system outages from stakeholders, and management of the resources required to execute the schedule. A quarterly release schedule is required to meet operational availability requirements. The Contractor shall attend the monthly PMO release planning meeting and provide a proposed release plan identifying CRs for appropriate releases based on the problem management backlog assignments and PMO ranking. The Contractor shall provide status updates for ongoing release plans at the release planning meeting. The Contractor shall schedule, coordinate, plan, and implement approved releases with CM. The Contractor shall assign builds to appropriate software releases as identified in the GCSS-MC CMP and develop 30/60/90 day release schedules based upon assignment, prioritization, and scheduling, including refreshing the environments defined in Section 1.1. The Contractor shall maintain a PSS and Production Software Baseline Reports (PSBR) and track CRs or software releases by build per release, patch set, and clones provided as GFI. The Contractor shall gather approved CR and build-specific data by attending CAB and CCB meetings, Test Incident Reporting (TIR) meetings, testing hot-washes and applicable meetings to incorporate into an assignment, prioritization, and scheduling spreadsheet. The Contractor shall coordinate with the Government to schedule ad hoc system backups and database clones for promotion to solution development and test instances, and compile the 30/60/90 day release schedule. The Contractor shall prepare DD Form 1149 and track distribution of clones and clone contents (builds). The Contractor shall identify requirements and propose an associated schedule for technical refresh of these environments.
Release Management. The Supplier shall review Release notes for important changes effecting customers and will provide the Local Government with written notice of any upcoming Release. If Supplier or the Local Government determines, acting reasonably, that a Release may materially degrade the Solution, the Local Government will undertake UAT with the prompt assistance of the Supplier, and will report any broken integration, degradation or instability in the Solution, or other defect/fault in the performance or functionality of the Solution. The Local Government Users will test the Release and Supplier will incorporate the test results into the deployment of the Release, providing workarounds, remedial actions, Release documentation and training as needed. Release Management. With regard to the launch of new releases, SIX differentiates between major and minor releases. Only major releases shall require adjustments by the Network Partner. In most cases, a major release shall comprise the implementation of Network-Relevant Functions, since if they are not supported by a Network Partner, it would result in functional restrictions to other Network Part- ners participating in the eBill Ecosystem. A full list of Network-Relevant Functions may be found in Appendix 3 “Network-Relevant Functions”. SIX shall provide the technical specifications six (6) months prior to the implementation of a ma- jor release requiring adjustments from the Network Partners. The Network Partner shall make the adjustments within 6 months from the implementation. For this period, SIX shall guarantee the backwards compatibility of the interface in order for Network Partners to be able to make adjustments to their systems also following the release by SIX. SIX shall notify Network Partners in advance of changes, the planned implementation date and the period for which the back- wards compatibility is guaranteed.

Release Management. The Contractor shall provide and manage the practice for Release Management within the EITS Environment. Contractor shall document the guidelines for utilizing Release Management in the SMM. At a minimum, Contractor shall designate major Changes (e.g. the introduction of a new service, a substantial change to an existing service, large numbers of related and dependent Changes) as a Release. Contractor shall assess the risk to the operating environment for all Releases, and gain Government approval before Changes are allowed to proceed. Contractor shall implement and monitor adherence to the controls for risk management and to achieve compliance with Government policies and regulations, Customer policies, and other standards as documented in the SMM. The Contractor shall automate and facilitate workflows, processes, evaluation, and reporting, for Release and deployment activities to control and mitigate risk to the operational environment. Contractor shall provide processes for planning, scheduling, and controlling the movement of Releases through the service life cycle. Contractor shall assign an EITSI staff person to act as the single point of contact for each Release. Contractor shall facilitate and coordinate the Integrated Service Providers in developing implementation and back-out plans for approved Changes that will be included in Releases. That planning shall include the build, track, and coordination of the testing and implementation, and, if necessary, back-out of all Changes. Contractor shall produce impact assessments in support of Release planning, and report on findings to the Government. Contractor shall coordinate the resolution of Release issues across the Integrated Service Providers. Contractor shall develop and coordinate Release communications, preparations, and training activities, in coordination with the Integrated Service Providers, Customers, and the Government. Contractor shall establish and manage the provision of a burn-in period from the Service Providers for a period of time directly after the deployment of a Release, which shall include a review of the key performance indicators, Service Levels, monitoring thresholds, and the provision of additional resources for Incident and Problem Management.
Release Management. Arapahoe County uses an Agile Methodology of development at this time. As prescribed in Agile Methodology, Arapahoe County will perform frequent releases. Arapahoe County will perform any release that impacts the services during a maintenance window. Arapahoe County reserves the right to perform off cycle releases after hours or during business hours if system functionality needs to be restored. In the situation where maintenance is required outside of a maintenance window, Arapahoe County will give the Subscribing County as much notice as reasonably possible.
Release Management. The eHealth Next Release Methodology focuses on the following objectives: Reliability, Availability and Serviceability (RAS) which is achieved by: o rolling out only one Major Release each quarter o move to 99.9% availability o guarantee backward compatibility of two years Improving the testing capabilities by making an Acceptance environment available throughout the life cycle of a Major Release. This will enable both partners and eHealth to proactively identify issues and take actions for mitigation. This will also enable our partner to take action in communicating capacity requirements for specific solution(s) to eHealth Service Management. Customer focus through effective communication. The partner will always receive communications of planned interventions and Major Release deployments on both the Acceptance and Production environment. At the time of Next Major Release deployments, the partner is always invited to perform tests on their webapps and webservices. The partner is strongly requested to participate in these tests. It’s important to note that this methodology will have no impact on the standard integration of existing eHealth basic services, as well as on the Partner’s release process.
