Common use of Rejection During Probation Clause in Contracts

Rejection During Probation. (a) The probation period shall be not more than 90 days. Any person authorized by the Commission may reject a probationary employee for just cause. A rejection during probation shall not be considered a dismissal for the purpose of Clause 8.07 of this Agreement. The test of just cause for rejection shall be a test of suitability of the probationary employee for continued employment in the position, provided that the factors involved in suitability could reasonably be expected to affect work performance.
