Common use of Reinstatement after Leave Clause in Contracts

Reinstatement after Leave. When a leave of absence under conditions (1), (2), (3) or (4) of Section 18.3.a. is granted for more than twelve (12) weeks, or for more than thirty (30) calendar days for any other reason, the Employer does not guarantee that the employee will be reinstated in his/her former position or to the same grade and step level when he/she is ready to return to work. That decision will be at the discretion of the Employer.
