Regular School Duty. The SRO will normally be available for regular school duty on a full-time basis of eight (8) hours on those days and during those hours that school is in session. This assignment does not prohibit the SRO from participating in emergency response, call and shift assists or to fulfill training requirements as determined to exist by the Chief of Police or designee. It is recognized that the SRO is also entitled to paid time off per city policy and as outlined in the current labor contract. The City is not required to furnish a substitute officer on days when the regular officer is absent due to paid time off, illness, personal days off or due to mandated police department requirements.

  • Regular Hours The regular hours of work each day shall be consecutive except that they may be interrupted by a lunch period.
