Regular School Day. The regular school day for early childhood and elementary school teachers shall not exceed seven hours with a continuous lunch period of forty-five minutes with no work responsibilities. Teachers’ lunch shall not be scheduled before the first scheduled student lunch period and shall not be scheduled after the last scheduled student lunch period. Each teacher’s day shall be comprised of no more than 296 minutes of instruction, 15 minutes of non-classroom supervision and 60 minutes of continuous duty-free preparation. Four days each week the teacher’s preparation time shall be self-directed; one day each week this period shall be principal-directed.

The high school day may begin and end at different times from school to school as determined at the local school level following dis- cussion between the principal and local school fac- ulty, but shall not exceed 435 minutes in length for a high school teacher. The high school teacher is to be in his or her room with the class ready to teach at the time designated on the teacher’s schedule. The regular school day shall consist of eight fifty-minute periods, including five teaching periods, and up to thirty-five minutes of passing periods. Any special xxxx schedule that involves teacher supervision of students shall de- duct time spent supervising students from the regular class periods. High school teachers shall have a con- tinuous lunch period of fifty minutes with no work responsibilities, except that, if the regular lunch pe- riod is shortened to less than fifty minutes, the teach- er’s school day shall be shortened an equal number of minutes. Teachers’ lunch shall not be scheduled before the first scheduled student lunch period and shall not be scheduled after the last scheduled student lunch period. Each teacher’s schedule shall include seven fifty-minute duty-free, self-directed preparation pe- riods per week. Each teacher’s schedule shall include three principal-directed preparation periods per week, which shall be used only for staff development, teacher collaboration, advisory (one per week), department meetings, subject area team meetings and other pro- fessional preparation activities.
Regular School Day. The regular school day for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Itinerants, Assistive Technology Itinerants, Augmentative Communication Itinerants, Early Childhood SPED Itinerant teachers, Home/Hospital Teachers, and itinerant teachers of the Visually Impaired shall be seven hours, with start and stop times aligned to the schools they are assigned to, with a continuous duty-free lunch period of 45 minutes and a 60 minute preparation period daily, and four days of self-directed and one day of principal or clinician manager directed time per week.
Regular School Day. The District may establish starting and ending times for each school site and work site. No unit members, except for unit members assigned to the XX Xxxxx Early college Academy, shall be assigned to teach classes that extend beyond 7.5 hours per day. No unit members at the XX Xxxxx Early College Academy shall be assigned to teach classes that extend beyond 8 hours per day.
Regular School Day. The regular school day for teachers shall be from 8:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:00 A.M. to 3:15 P.M. on Fridays or such times as fixed by the Board of Education, but not to exceed seven (7) hours and thirty (30) minutes for Monday through Thursday and seven (7) hours and fifteen (15) minutes on Fridays. In no event shall teachers leave before school buses are loaded and departed.
Regular School Day. The regular school day for all teachers covered by this Agreement shall extend from a time not earlier than ten (10) minutes before the start of their assigned daily schedule. All teachers shall remain at their assigned building fifteen (15) minutes after students have been dismissed from school for the day or the completion of their assigned daily schedule, unless excused by the Building Principal. It is understood that the regular work day shall not exceed seven and one-half (7-1/2) hours for any teacher and shall not begin before 7:30 am, nor end later than 4:00 pm. Should unusual circumstances require an alteration of the regular work day, the Board may implement a modification of the regular work day provided representatives of the Board first meet and discuss the proposed modification with representatives of the Union. At such discussion, the parties shall consider any suggestions the Union might have.

Regular School Day. The regular school day for nurses shall be seven (7) hours in duration. This period shall extend from fifteen (15) minutes before the time for starting scheduled activities for students and shall not extend beyond fifteen (15) minutes after the time for dismissing regularly scheduled students. The principal and school nurse may agree to redistribute up to ten (10) minutes of time before school and/or up to ten (10) minutes of the time after school during any week. On days when inclement weather causes a delayed opening, the required workday of nurses will begin not more than thirty (30) minutes before the revised starting time. On days when inclement weather causes an early dismissal, the workday of nurses will end as soon as the nurse’s responsibilities are completed. In special programs where pupils have a daily schedule of less than six and one-half (6-1/2) hours in duration, nurses may be required to work seven (7) hours per day. Exceptions may be authorized by the principal in cases of emergencies. A nurse may leave the school building during the duty-free lunch period or prior to the termination of the fifteen (15) minute period after school and after completing all assigned duties upon approval of the principal or his/her designee. A backup first aid and emergency plan shall be in place prior to the nurse leaving the building. Upon returning to the school building from a duty-free lunch period, a nurse shall notify the secretary or other designated person. In addition to daily nursing responsibilities, the following activities will be considered part of the normal assignment for nurses: Attending professional faculty meetings approximately once per week. Assisting at appropriate student activities. Sponsoring and/or supervising appropriate student activities. Attending PTA meetings in accordance with established policy. Attending professional meetings with the supervisor of health services as scheduled approximately once a month. Attending evening or Saturday professional meetings no more than twice a year. Meeting with students, parents, or other staff members as professional responsibilities require with the time for such meeting being established by mutual agreement between the nurse and other person(s) involved. Generally, during school assessment days, the school nurse shall primarily focus on activities related to the school health services program.
