Common use of Regional Cooperation Clause in Contracts

Regional Cooperation. As part of the implementation of economic cooperation in the various spheres, the Parties will encourage operations designed to develop cooperation between the Palestinian Authority and other Mediterranean partners, through technical support. This cooperation will be an important element of the Community's support for the development of the region as a whole. Priority will be given to operations aimed at: - promoting intra-regional trade, - developing regional cooperation on the environment, - encouraging the development of the communications infrastructure required for the economic development of the region, - strengthening the development of youth cooperation with neighbouring countries. In addition the Parties will strengthen cooperation between them on regional development and land-use planning. To this end the following measures may be taken: - joint action by regional and local authorities in the area of economic development, and - the establishment of mechanisms for the exchange of information and experience.
