In this situation, you will be informed in writing of any additional payments that are due.

Refundable Damage Deposit. Parents who choose not to provide their student(s) with a personal electronic device or to obtain either personal insurance or insurance through the District must agree to pay for the repair or replacement of the Chromebook or similar electronic device and provide the District with an annual $300 refundable deposit. The full deposit, less the cost for repair or replacement, if applicable, will be returned when the Chromebook is returned to the District in proper working order. **Any deposit or fee for any student whose parent is serving in, or within the past year has served in, active military service as defined under Minnesota Statutes Section 190.05 or who is unable to pay the deposit or fee may be waived upon application to the District. A student who does not elect one of the foregoing options or whose District provided Chromebook is lost, stolen or damaged, may not be supplied with an original Chromebook or replacement Chromebook until either one of the foregoing options is selected and, in the case of repair or replacement, such repairs or replacements can be obtained. Any device replaced by the District will be subject to a new refundable deposit or insurance plan. In the interim, students will be provided with an alternative method of completing coursework. A student’s right to use and possess the District Chromebook or similar electronic device as well as the use of the District’s internet services on a personal device is subject to the District’s Acceptable Use Policy. A student who violates this policy may lose the privilege to use a District Chromebook or District internet services and will be provided with an alternative method for completing coursework. A student’s right to possess the District Chromebook or similar electronic device terminates no later than the last day of classes during the school year unless terminated earlier by the District or upon the student’s withdrawal from the District. A student who fails to timely return the Chromebook or similar electronic device or uses the Chromebook or District internet services for non­school purposes without the school’s consent will be to be in unlawful possession of school property and appropriate legal action may be taken. Refundable Damage Deposit. Upon execution of this Agreement, Client shall pay to the Venue a refundable damage deposit (the “Deposit”) the amount indicated in Schedule C. The Deposit shall be returned to the Client within ten (10) business days after the Event; however, in the event the Venue suffers property damage, missing inventory, or excessive cleaning costs (e.g., blood/body fluids, area rugs, upholstered furniture, bathrooms, etc.) the Deposit shall be forfeited to compensate the Venue for the loss suffered. In no event shall the Deposit be considered liquidated damages. Payments should be made to Harts Events. Cash, check and major credit cards are accepted.
