A Referred Participating Teacher is a teacher with permanent status who has been referred to receive assistance to improve his or her instructional skills, classroom management, knowledge of subject, and/or related aspects of his or her teaching performance as a result of an unsatisfactory Summary Evaluation.

Voluntary Participating Teacher This teacher is a teacher with permanent status, an intern teacher, emergency permit teacher, or an experienced teacher new to the District who volunteers to participate in the PAR Program for the sole purpose of receiving peer assistance.

Referred Participating Teacher. 12.11.2.2.1 The purpose of participation in the PAR program is to help correct job-related deficiencies and to assist the classroom teacher in improving performance. Permanent classroom teachers who have received an unsatisfactory rating will be referred for participation in PAR.

Assignment 37 shall occur in a timely manner following the teacher's receipt of the 38 unsatisfactory evaluation. Teachers assigned to the Program as the result of 39 an ongoing evaluation shall participate in the Peer Assistance and Review 40 Program for the remainder of the year in which the initial assignment 41 occurred and for the entire subsequent school year. 42 43 A Referred Participating Teacher shall participate in both the peer assistance 44 and peer review components of this program. 45
